Narrative Arc

The arc is the project's journey through time: how it started, where it turned, and what was hard. It is reconstructed from evidence, not imagined.

Timeline

  • arc-timeline-from-history: The build journey MUST be reconstructed from the actual commit timeline (month buckets, tags, churn), not a narrated guess.

Pivots

  • arc-pivots-grounded: A pivot MUST cite the decision it turned on — a commit, a design doc, a deprecated or experimental branch. Paused, deprecated, and experimental repos are exactly where the pivots and decisions live.

Rough Spots

  • arc-rough-spots-honest: Mistakes and challenges MUST be reported honestly and specifically, grounded in the record, not smoothed over — the rough spots are the most useful part of a build journey.
